Lapeer Road and Irish Road Intersection

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with Davison Township and the Michigan Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the road reconstruction and widening of Lapeer Road at Irish Road.

Starting 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, the intersection of Lapeer Road and Irish Road will be under construction. Lapeer Road will be closed to thru traffic. Emergency, business and local traffic should follow the posted detour of Irish Road, Court Street and Gale Road.

Construction is expected to be completed on or before June 18, 2008.

Miller Road from Manwaring Dr. to I-75

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with Flint Township, Flint CBDA, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration is pleased to announce the reconstruction of Miller Road from east of Manwaring Drive to I-75.

Starting 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, Miller Road from east of Manwaring Drive to I-75 will be under construction. One lane of traffic in each direction and a left turn lane will be maintained. For detailed project information, please visit The Miller Road Page on our website at www.gcrc.org.

Construction is expected to be completed on or before September 15, 2008.

Ballenger Highway from Miller Road to the Swartz Creek Bridge

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with Flint Township and the Michigan Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the concrete pavement repair and HMA resurfacing of Ballenger Highway from Miller Road to the Swartz Creek Bridge.Starting 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, Ballenger Highway from Miller Road to the Swartz Creek Bridge will be under construction. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Construction is expected to be completed on or before June 14, 2008.

Coldwater Road from McKinley Road to Deland Road

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with Flushing Township and the Michigan Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the HMA resurfacing of Coldwater Road from McKinley Road to Deland Road. Starting 7:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, Coldwater Road from McKinley Road to Deland Road will be under construction. Traffic will be maintained under a flagging operation. Construction is expected to be completed on or before June 30, 2008.

Beecher Road between Linden Road Easterly to I-75

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation and Flint Township would like to announce the Beecher Road Rehabilitation Project from Linden Road Easterly to I-75. The construction began Monday, April 21, 2008 with an anticipated completion date on or before July 31, 2008. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction of travel.

Clio Road between Stanley Road to Frances Road

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with Michigan Department of Transportation wishes to announce the reconstruction of Clio Road from Stanley Road to Frances Road. This project is set up for concrete repairs on the outside lanes and asphalt cold milling and resurfacing on the inside lanes. Effective Monday, April 21, 2008 at 6am, construction began on Clio Road from Stanley Road to Frances Road. The project will be constructed under traffic with intermittent single lane closures. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Construction is expected to be completed on or before July 31, 2008.

Branch Road between Center and Carpenter Road, Genesee Township

Effective immediately, Branch Road between Center Road and Carpenter Road in the Township of Genesee will be closed until further notice.

This road closure is required for the safety of the traveling public.

Seymour Road, Argentine Township from Silver Lake Road to Rolston Road

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation is pleased to announce the reconstruction of the Seymour Road from Silver Lake Road to Rolston Road. Starting 7:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2008, Seymour Road (Silver Lake to Rolston) will be under construction. One lane of traffic will be maintained under a flagging operation. Expect delays. Construction is expected to be completed on or before June 27, 2008.

Miller Road, Flint Township From Linden Road to Ballenger Hwy.

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation and Flint Township would like to announce the Miller Road Rehabilitation Project, from Linden Road easterly to Ballenger Hwy. The proposed roadway construction start date is May 5, 2008. The proposed completion date is on or before September 15, 2008. One lane of traffic and a center turn lane will be maintained.

Miller Road, Clayton/Gaines Townships

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation and Flint Township would like to announce the Miller Road Rehabilitation Project, from Lansing Highway easterly to Van Vleet Road. The proposed construction start date, anticipated completion date and proposed detours are TBD.

Hill Road, Grand Blanc Township

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation would like to announce the Hill Road Rehabilitation Project, from Center Road easterly to Genesee Road. The anticipated construction start date is early April 2008. The proposed completion date is TBD. The proposed detour route for motorists will include Center, Maple and Genesee Roads.

Belsay Road, Grand Blanc Township

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation would like to announce the Belsay Road Rehabilitation Project, from Perry Road northerly to Maple Avenue. The proposed construction start date is June 1, 2008. The proposed completion date is on or before August 31, 2008. Proposed detour route for motorists will include Perry, Irish and Bristol Roads.

Silver Lake Road at Linden High School, Argentine Township

The Genesee County Road Commission in conjunction with the Michigan Department of Transportation would like to announce the Silver Lake Road/Linden High School intersection rehabilitation project. The proposed construction start date is mid June, following the completion of school activities. Anticipated completion date is TBD. The intersection will be open to local traffic only. Detour route will include Lobdell Road and Linden Road(Bridge St.).

Washburn Road, Forest Township

The Genesee County Road Commission would like to announce the Washburn Road Rehabilitation Project, from Lake RoadRoad southerly to Sister Lake Road. The proposed construction start date, anticipated completion date and proposed detours are TBD.

Seymour Road, Argentine Township

The Genesee County Road Commission would like to announce the Seymour Road Rehabilitation Project from Cole Road northerly to Rolston Road. The proposed construction start date is April 1, 2008. The proposed completion date is on or before June 31, 2008. No detour route is required.

Seymour Road, Clayton Township

The Genesee County Road Commission would like to announce the Seymour Road Rehabilitation Project from Bristol Road southerly to Miller Road. The proposed construction start date is May 5, 2008. The proposed completion date is on or before June 31, 2008. No detour route is required.
