Consumers Energy has identified 111 addresses in need of restoration, and is planning to have that completed by July 25.

UPDATE: 6-24-26:

The Genesee County Road Commission has received questions from residents regarding restoration work, paving, and completion of the remaining items in the Wishing Well Subdivision project.

The project has experienced delays related to utility work that must be completed before certain restoration and roadway activities can move forward. On June 2, 2026, utility company representatives were on site reviewing the project and evaluating restoration needs. Utility companies are currently developing schedules for restoring areas impacted by their work.

To avoid conflicting work activities and additional disruptions to residents, the Road Commission and its contractor cannot complete the remaining storm sewer, paving, driveway repairs, and other restoration items until the utility restoration work is finished.

Because the utility companies control their own schedules, we are unable to provide a firm date when their work will be completed. However, we are actively coordinating with all parties involved and are committed to completing the remaining project work as soon as possible.

At this time, we anticipate all project work, and restoration activities will be completed during the current construction season. We appreciate the patience and understanding of the residents as we work through these remaining items. Project updates will be provided on the Genesee County Road Commission website as additional information becomes available.
